Pounamu is the natural Jade found in South Island, New Zealand. Flower Jade (Raukaraka) a highly prized, rare variety of New Zealand pounamu (greenstone) found in the Marsden region. Known for its deep green base with golden-yellow, cream, or orange dendritic patterns, this "flower" effect forms over thousands of years.

Pounamu is a sacred stone (tapu), embodying mana (prestige), mauri (life force), and ancestry. It is traditionally gifted to bring protection and strength, and it is known to take on the skin's oils over time.
